Summary
Dazai has always longed for the edging of black in his vision, the numb of his body, and the silence to his mind. Dazai finally finds his sweet release after a suicide gone right, but the afterlife he learns, is a lot more confusing and a lot less carefree then he expected.
The red haired fox spirit with ridiculously attractive blue eyes was the worst part, or maybe it was the fact that the only alcohol his companion allowed him to drink in his presence was wine.
His favorite part though was the height difference.(In which Dazai finds himself in the purgatory known as the yokai realm and whilst looking for his memories in order to fully pass on, he meets a rather familiar fox.)

"Chuuya—"
"Don't fucking—*don't!* Fucking SPARE me! I don't need your or anyone else's help! You are the LAST person who has the right to offer me anything! FUCK!” Chuuya shrieks, then he collapses onto the floor screaming.
The floor shatters under him as For the Tainted Sorrow roars in his veins.
“Shit,” he curses, watching fragments of the floor start to float up around him. “Shit-shit-shit!"
His hands are shaking, but he can’t get gravity to respond. He can’t get his own body to respond.
Then a cool hand lands on his shoulder, and everything clatters back to the ground.*“I won’t leave you.”*
Or, Chuuya breaks, and Dazai spends a year putting his pieces back together, no matter how many times he cuts his fingers on their sharp edges.
At the end, they’re both softer for it.Epilogue starts at chapter 39!

Summary
A series of events causes Osamu Dazai and his coworker Kunikida Doppo to switch bodies.
After encountering a rather dangerous criminal on quite a treacherous job, Dazai and Kunikida get injected with a serum and wake up a few hours later with a different voice and a plethora of different problems.
Will Kunikida be able to cope with the memories contained in Dazai's body that constantly scream?
Will Dazai want to return to the horror story that was barely endured before?
He's got a reputation and specific persona's to uphold after all...Dazai's burden has always been Dazai's burden alone.

a body swap soukoku angsty fic where Dazai has different chronic pain conditions and a body littered with various issues he kept hidden that Kunikida has to deal with because my dislike of ignorance is real :)
