Summary

Cats are going missing left and right in RiverClan, with few worried about where they‘ve gone. In ThunderClan, Bramblestar gets more neglectful and bitter by the sunrise, with no hope of change. A young SkyClan apprentice is holding a balance between life and death. Times remain peaceful in ShadowClan and WindClan, but they cannot remain that way if bad times come once more.
Darkness is descending upon the clans once more, with no light at the end of the tunnel.

Petey had made a lot of inventions. A ridiculous amount in fact. Plans and machines just naturally poured out his brain the way his son's art poured over every free scrap of paper in the house. Some were genius. Some were bad. Some were just... disastrous and never saw the light of day after testing. But Petey kept every single one of them. At least until his deadbeat father showed up to steal all of his potentially very dangerous inventions. A fact that he doesn't bother reporting to the police.
It isn't until his inventions start hitting the streets of the city that he and Dogman realize the danger coming for them. And the worst one comes in the form of a particular ray gun with a heart on it.
(Combines some movie and comic canon but takes place post-movie.)

A wide staircase leading up to a second floor was well hidden by the throne, so Luigi cautiously crossed the room, just about sprinting towards the steps.
He tiptoed up the stairs, noticing the noises getting louder. At the top of the stairs, there was no door, but a rather lovely loft.
And there, right in the middle of the floor of the loft, was a massive four-poster bed, with deep sheer green curtains hanging off of huge poles. While the curtains weren’t tied up, they did little to hide the scene before him.
Luigi felt his body warm up, as though he were swimming in lava. As it turned out, the whimpering he'd heard was Peach, definitely not in danger, moaning away, and the rumbling he'd heard from Bowser was him coaxing her through it.

Or: Bowser's kidnapped Princess Peach, and Mario and Luigi have to save her! But Luigi quickly finds that she has, in fact, not been kidnapped, and perhaps he can see things from her perspective if he really looks.
