Summary
"I killed you, when you killed me."
His steps haltered to a stop, an involuntary flinch escaping his carefully composed persona at his companion's candor. He tried to speak, several times, but each time he opened his mouth, nothing came out.
Eventually, Will shook his head, tilted his face towards the sun, and absentmindedly spoke. "Look at the beautiful sky, Hannibal."
And he did. He looked at the streaks of gold highlighted all along the blue landscape, the clear clouds shuffling along as the wind picked up speed. And once he was all alone again, in the solitude of his house, he laid in bed and used messy and tainting charcoal to paint a beautiful portrait of a man's back, curls in disarray, eyes closed and lips pulled together in a smile.

Summary
"You made men fall." Hannibal whispers in the dead of the night, the fireplace being the only light in the room.
Will sat next to him, nursing a tumbler of whiskey that never seemed to run out. He looked at the swirling alcohol, taking his time to respond.
"Did I make you fall?" Will asks him, raising an eyebrow in incredulity.
Hannibal smiles bitterly. From glory, he wanted to say.
Instead, he poured more wine into his glass.

Summary
If every part of a ship is replaced, is it still the same ship?

“Abby, Abigail.” Will has a soft smile on his face. His hand is warm in hers. “Do you know what your name means?”
She rolls her eyes. “You always tell me.”
“What does it mean?” His tone is teasing, but there is only love in his eyes.
“Father’s joy.” Abigail snorts softly, swinging their hands in between them. “Is that true?”
Will pulls on her until they stop walking. He gathers her in his arms, and whispers into her hair.
“It’s the truest thing in my life.” She feels a kiss on the top of her head. Her forehead furrows with the sudden need to cry. “I love you more than anything in this world, Abigail.”
“I love you, too, dad.”
