Summary
Arthur stares, bewildered, barely registering Merlin's words. Merlin looks thrilled, elated, in a way that he hadn't seen often even back in Camelot.
Something really good must have happened, Arthur thinks belatedly. Did someone else come back? Was the world-threatening crisis he returned for somehow already averted?
Naturally, of everything possible he thought of, he didn't expect the words that next came out of Merlin's mouth.
"Arthur! Arthur, I'm going to die!"
Or, in which Merlin discovers that upon Arthur's return, he is now mortal, but chooses to word the fact in a way that makes everyone panic.

Summary
Merlin, along with his freshly reincarnated friends and newly returned Arthur, sit down and catch up about the last 1500 years of lifetimes (because they're all in quarantine and hence are unable to fight the big bad evil Arthur returned to defeat).
Somehow, along the way, it turns into a vent session. Turns out a lot of them have curiosities, pent-up-frustration, and unresolved bets building up over the centuries that they need to talk about.

Summary
A young psychiatrist in the twenty-first century, Lancelot has been transferred to work in the psychiatric ward of a different hospital. One of the long-term patients there, a man who calls himself "Merlin", catches his eye, and it's not until he meets him that he realizes why.
OR: Merlin has had enough of immortality and attempts to erase his memories of the pain of the last thousand years. A newly reincarnated Lancelot finds him, his psyche split into two by the failed spell, and attempts to convince Merlin not to complete the spell and to accept his memories. Later, Arthur, fresh out of the lake, learns of Merlin's condition and does his best to help his friend. (or boyfriend, you can read it however you want)
(Can be read as a standalone fic, the rest of the series doesn't really contribute to this fic plot-wise)

Summary
Arthur has long since accepted Merlin's magic as just another part of his strange, cheerful, clumsy, occasionally-way-too-wise self. Be that as it may, he's not used to it yet, and the things Merlin uses it for on a daily basis don't help.
OR: Merlin using his magic in ways that give Arthur heart attacks - namely, turning regular household chores into life-threatening events.
