“Then I’ll administer another oral swab, change your IV, and then change your bandages.” He flipped Denki’s blanket back over and stood upright, getting to work on the oral swab at his cart, just like the day before.
Denki watched him. “Do you swab oral often?”
Done with the preparation, Nurse Angel- Shinsou turned back around and stared at him.

“When I asked ‘we should do something’, I didn’t mean plans for the day. I meant, we should do something special. Like, we can’t get married –” Hitoshi made a negatory grunt at this – “but we can, like... well, I’d need your consent. And I completely get if I don’t have it, so I won’t do it, but—I want to take photos of our day and post them online.”
Hitoshi paused. He put down his chopsticks, licked around his mouth to clear it, stalling as he thought the words over. Eloquently, he managed to finally say, “What – does that – mean.”
“To the official Chargebolt account. I think it’s time my fans learnt about my boyfriend. My amazing boyfriend. Like a soft-launch, maybe.”
“But couldn’t this mess with your ratings? You could end up lower in the ranks, you could lose some of your pay.”
A tender look captured Denki’s every feature. Love, sorrow, sympathy, kindness. “That doesn’t matter, Toshi. I want them to know.”

Summary
Denki had expected his own mother to cry first, followed by his sister or father, and maybe Ashido, Midoriya or Kirishima a few rows away, but it was none of them. They were quick to follow, of course, but when Hitoshi let out a massive gasp and pushed his face into both of his hands, everything seemed to stop. Everyone’s attention was on Hitoshi, not the priest reciting sutras at the front.
Denki had never seen Hitoshi cry before.

Nabu’s chuurinjou went in groups of five. There were a whole two groups empty by the time Hitoshi—late, as per usual—arrived. No 'Hey, Shinsou, my guy! Saved you your favourite space! First by the door!' or 'Hey, man! Shinsou, good to see ya! Saved you a space! Happy birthday!'. Instead, bikes were overcrowding the other bike stands because they were scared of him.
