Summary
Johnny turns his head and looks at Kerry’s bare back. He’s got the cutest little mole right between his shoulder blades, almost directly on his spine, and Johnny kind of wants to kiss it, but moving would take way more energy than Johnny currently has, so Johnny just settles for staring at it.
From the corner of his eye, though, he can still see the fan lazily circling. Broken blade, duct tape, ancient bra.
Will he remember any of this in the morning?
Probably not.
It’s going to be unclear if he and Kerry have slept with each other or if they’ve slept with each other, like it always is whenever they get high together and share a room.
Johnny remembers some of their encounters. He pretends he doesn't. He’s got a fucking image to uphold, and screwing Kerry Eurodyne isn’t a part of it.

Kerry snorts. “You’ve got no fucking idea what a twink is, Johnny.”
And maybe Johnny doesn’t, but he laughs anyway, easy as anything, and reaches over to give Kerry a shove. “Oh, fuck off,” he says, then, quieter, “Would you? Fuck V, I mean. He doesn’t really look like any of your old inputs. Or Louise, I guess.”
Kerry looks at him again. “Yeah, probably. He’s cute. Different than how you used to be, but yeah, I would, as long as his personality is tolerable.”
“Fuckin’ A,” Johnny says, grinning. “So I’ve still got a chance.”
Kerry shifts, tenses just a little, but his tone is almost fond when he speaks. “Not in a million fuckin’ years, Silverhand. Don’t even try.”
And when Johnny takes the pill later, giving V back control, he somehow already misses Kerry even though he’s not even twenty feet away.
