November 2029.
During a well-earned break from Task Force 29 after the events in London, Adam Jensen receives a request for help from Artair McTavish, a Prague-based hacker who turned to the Juggernaut Collective in search of the right man for the job.
The assignment may bring Jensen one step closer to Bob Page, and perhaps to identifying the other members of the Illuminati.
Or perhaps it speaks to something far more familiar: Adam’s relentless need to do the right thing in a world starving for kindness and empathy.
It is a mission that will force him to work with a girl whose story is disturbingly similar to his own, and through her, he may come to realize he can be more than a tool in other people’s hands.

Nel corso di un meritato e simbolico periodo di pausa dalla Task Force 29 dopo gli eventi di Londra, Adam Jensen riceve una richiesta di aiuto da parte di Artair McTavish, un hacker residente a Praga che si è rivolto al Collettivo Juggernaut per trovare qualcuno di adatto alle sue necessità.
Si tratta di un incarico che potrebbe avvicinarlo in qualche modo a Bob Page, un mezzo per dare finalmente un volto anche a tutti gli altri Illuminati.
O forse è qualcosa di molto più familiare nella vita di Adam, l'intimo desiderio di voler fare sempre la cosa giusta, in un mondo che ha un estremo bisogno di gentilezza ed empatia.
Un incarico che lo spingerà a collaborare con una ragazza la cui storia è terribilmente simile a quella del potenziato, e con cui lui scoprirà di poter essere più che un semplice strumento nelle mani degli altri.
Perché in realtà, tutto ciò che Adam Jensen cerca è un modo per tornare a sentirsi nuovamente umano.

Crossposted, unsurprisingly. Feedback is much appreciated, as long as it's constructive.
Most of these will involve Marvel/the MCU, DC, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm a sucker for canon divergence, both reading and creating, especially when the train actually goes off the rails; it can be easy to get into the habit of 'this is how X event would have looked with the changes I introduced earlier' even when those changes really mean that X event shouldn't have happened at all, and the story ends up being a rehash of canon with a couple of extra flairs rather than an exploration of the core idea. Self-insertion can make that very easy, along with Peggy Sues. In the same vein, introducing a character or group from one setting into another almost always creates an outside-context problem with potentially fascinating results, and many abilities can do the same when transplanted into a new or existing character.
