Eddie Kaspbrak is the finest of Derry High. Straight A student and the perfect example to everyone of the ideal person to be. Eddie has his whole life planned ahead of him. Specific moves that are intricately structured with the perfect opportunities to lead him to the top. Eddie is the fucking poster boy of perfection.
But unfortunately, nobody is perfect. And when a certain someone threatens the spot on top that Eddie has reserved for himself, the ugly side of him unleashes, and things get... messy.
Let's just say that Eddie Kaspbrak would do anything for his reputation. And that includes befriending a complete moron, despite it's challenges.
And it's challenges... are a fucking lot. But he's willing to get his hands dirty for the deed.
As they all say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
Or, alternatively:
Eddie has to soon realize that life isn't just dots and dashes and letters and numbers. People are people, and life is bigger than he's ever known before.
Now, if there's one class Eddie hasn't taken that he desperately needs a lesson in, it's Ethics 101.

As Richie flinches at every touch, Eddie is determined, scowling as he tries to repair the mess, fix the one type of problem that he can solve.
Richie doesn’t tell him why it happened, because Eddie knows. So, he watches him work in silence. He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t rant, he doesn’t get angry at the world for hating him through no fault of his own. Richie focuses on Eddie, and his heart fills instead with gratitude and something else that is immense and buoyant and powerful. But, just like the rest of his feelings, he shoves that away too. Files it deep within his psyche so that he can maybe evaluate it later, determine its relevance on his own time.

How does a 15-year-old, who spent 13 years in a room with little human contact, 10 months in a hospital, and 14 months in a psychiatric unit with many doctors and therapists, adjust to living with attentive parents, in a house in which he can go into any room (except his parent's room if the door is closed), food that isn’t bland or overly soft, different types of entertainment, and school—a public school in a small town in Maine. A small town in Maine in which everyone knows everyone, and he knows no one other than his parents, social workers, and his many doctors. He didn’t know anyone his age and he didn’t talk to anyone. How can he make friends if he rarely talks, doesn't understand social cues, and everything he does is weird to others? Until six kids, around his age, helped him when someone older than him was picking on him for his mannerisms.

Summary
All his life, Richie was given Wolfsbane and silver to keep his “monster” weak. That’s what his parents told him. With each moon cycle and with age, it gets harder to keep it in check. Not that he began wanting to. There’s a couple things he’s hiding from The Losers, including him not being human and being in love with his best friend.
He struggled, but liked it that way, keeping any touch or reaction from Eddie deep in his chest. Until getting into a fight with Henry Bowers, a full bred monster. His parents had enough after that and without so much as a note or call, The Losers didn’t see him again for 2-years.
Richie’s back again, a little different and he planned to keep his secrets, but with Bowers and a few of his friends taking control and invading his area, Richie needs to find out how to keep his “monster” a secret and protect his friends from the people and monsters of Derry. It doesn’t help that distance truly does make the heart grow fonder and he isn’t sure if Eddie is truly looking at him the same way, or if it’s wishful thinking.

Ben had given him some guidebook full of rules and what-not when he'd oh-so-kindly gotten Richie the gig by spraining his ankle yesterday and needing an emergency replacement. And Richie had put that guidebook in his pocket with the intent to read it, really he did, but it must've gotten lost somewhere on the short journey between Ben's place and his own.
"That one's yours, Kaspbrak," the neither-young-nor-old man says with a laugh, elbowing the younger one. And with that apparently Richie is Kaspbrak's, who has the decency to shake his hand and introduce himself as Eddie.

After the Christmas dinner, which involves chewy turkey, potatoes that are not only rock hard but cold on the inside, alongside gravy that can only be equated to salted water and vegetables….which are honestly the best part of the dinner, and vegetables should definitely not be the best part of Christmas dinner. But after the excruciating dinner, consumed in front of the TV, while a Christmas radio channel plays quietly in the background. Sonia tends to fall asleep. And that’s when Eddie’s real Christmas starts.
He pulls on a coat and boots, and makes sure that his watch is working so he can get home at a safe time. He knows that Sonia will be asleep for a good few hours, the Kaspbrak Christmas dinner ends by 2pm, and Sonia will be asleep or at least in and out of sleep until 7pm. Which gives him more than enough time for a second, incredibly better, Christmas at the Tozier’s house.

Originally he wanted to call Richie and say goodbye but given the time his mother had woken him he knew his boyfriend wouldn’t be awake, and if he was it meant that he hadn’t slept yet. Another thing was that if he called now he would most likely wake up Maggie and he didn’t want to disturb her, not after everything she’s done for him.
So he decided to write a letter saying goodbye, but then he realised that it was almost winter now in Derry and it would most likely blow away. So ultimately, he had no way of saying goodbye to his first love.

On top of that, the special was a massive hit: Richie Tozier: Weirdos, Clowns, and Bozos has broken records not only for Richie but also for the streaming platform itself.
However, it hasn’t been without its negatives -- the paparazzi are suddenly very interested in Richie, which means he has to be more careful than ever about what he does in public (with varying success).
OR: Richie Tozier’s third Netflix special is finally out, and he talks about how much he loves his fiancé. A lot. Like, a lot a lot. Also, the paparazzi are really dumb. So dumb. Like, suuper dumb.
