The Empireverse brothers, Empire and Lord, are the first to detect this critical "breach in the foundational code" and attempt to mobilize their forces for containment. Their planning is cut short when the Shattered Garden suddenly unleashes a psychic shockwave, accelerating its expansion and actively drawing the DreamTale brothers and sisters into the chaos, signaling the start of the adventure.

The urge to hiss and spit clawed at his throat, but he forced it down. His survival depended on keeping Sol’s guard down. Any sign of defiance now would only tighten the noose. He had to play along, to behave, even as every instinct screamed at him to fight back.
He stiffened as Sol’s hand traced a soft, burning path down his spine, the touch almost tender through the fabric of his clothes. It took every ounce of willpower not to flinch away, especially when Sol guided him down to sit, his fingers deftly beginning to undress him.
The intimacy of the act made his bones crawl. But he swallowed his revulsion. Resistance would only make his escape harder.

It seemed his words had hit a nerve. The newcomer reacted in an instant, jolting backward as a weapon snapped into his hand, adopting a defensive posture. There was a feral sharpness in his eyes—the cornered look of prey that had learned the rhythm of pursuit well. It sent a cold shiver down Swap’s spine.
The sight of the dark scythe aimed at him was unnerving—its presence sharp and ominous. It was a weapon he had only ever seen in Reaper’s hands.
"O-ø-Œ-oh, great. I just got him to c-ç-C-calm down," Error huffed, clearly displeased with the stranger’s sudden guard.

Dream was the guardian of positivity, and Nightmare was the guardian of negativity. They were two sides of the same coin. So then why did Dream feel so...useless? Why was he even made to be the guardian of positivity when there were probably so many better options than him?
After a fight with Nightmare leading to a wounded Dream, he finds himself in his old Au, Dreamtale, and makes a wish to his mother to choose a better guardian.
Wait...why were there other skeletons here? And why did they look like...him?
