He guides her through the streets of LA while she takes care of his many injuries.

Arthur nods stiffly, scanning the room again with new information. So there are others. So many that they can fill a secret room in New York without even trying. With rules and traditions and leaders he never knew about because Anya turned tail the moment things started going bad. Abandoned him, young and lost, to figure all of this out for himself.
He has mourned that day for nearly ten years. He's had all the time in the world to ruminate, to think how how it could have gone differently, play out a million different ways he could have spared their lives. But now, for the first time, he feels a bubbling hatred for his sire. Because this wasn't entirely his fault, was it?

Arthur visits New York and discovers an entire world of vampires he’d never thought existed.

Summary
Immediately following the events of the Chūnin Exams, Arthur gains deeper insight into the other six who came to this world with him. He manages to escape with the various techniques he's acquired and decides it's finally time to leave the Leaf Village. Jada witnesses him commit a terrible act and becomes upset at his brutality. Despite her disappointment, he remains unchanging, which only heightens her emotional resentment toward his proclamations—triggering the "Uchiha Curse."
This, however, does not stop him from venturing out further into the world.
Only when he gains enough power, wealth, and influence does he begin creating various projects that will span months to finish. To bide time, he travels to different countries and seeks to collect various weapons deemed quite valuable to many.
Meanwhile, the other six have their own objectives. But once Arthur discovers their plans, he decides that it's better to thwart them by first eliminating the true main characters.

Arthur promised himself he wouldn't let the blood he and Deacon had shared between themselves become anything. It had been a necessity, a heat of the moment decision, nothing more. But here he was, laying on an actual bed (upon Deacon's insistence) with Deacon's arm under his head and the cowboy tangling legs with him.
Arthur doesn't know how to love people, he's terrified. The last people he'd loved were children, smaller than the two he has now. Anya had led to ruin. It all feels like a balancing act, just being around this new family. He's afraid he'll disappoint them and lose everything again.
From where his ear was pressed against the inside of Deacon's elbow, he heard no heartbeat, felt no heat, but the skin was soft and stuck to his cheek when he tried to turn his head to see the other better.
What a pain.

Arthur just stared at the wall, at the shadows stretching across it, palms still tingling with the knowledge of feeling them like his own extremities. He wasn’t going to be able to tell her. He wasn’t going to be able to tell any of them that he was going mad, because they’d either glaze over it entirely or fixate on it until they ended up worse off than him.
The shadows were just shadows. The intrusive thoughts were just thoughts. None of it meant anything.
OR
Arthur’s life takes a nosedive in the space of just a week after he falls terribly ill and his not-girlfriend leaves him on the same night.
