brozone was the biggest band in troll history. when the band broke apart, it affected the trolls greatly. added on to the loss of so many trolls during the great escape. the village wasn't doing good. the village was struggling to sing and dance and live on. so peppy looked for a solution. when he finds branch alone, and grey. peppy decides that he could fix branch, turn him back to the beloved bitty b.or branch sad, peppy uses the string on him. branch even more sad, but on the inside this time.

He sat there, staring. Looking down he caught sight of his gray hand, colorless and sad. Biting his lip nervously he looked around, sure they would notice this missing, and took the picture off the wall.

And Poppy just had her ways of surprising Branch. Just like Trollsbeat had a way of surprising Branch, Hype, Trickee, Ablaze and Boom every time they went on it for an interview. But with their rising success, getting labeled as the “next big boyband” by so many trolls, it was bound to happen eventually.

Branch felt exhilarated every time he slipped into his “B” persona and tonight was no different. They were at the end of a show, trolls cheering their names as Branch, Hype, Trickee, Boom and Ablaze danced and sang together. Their voices blended beautifully, harmony on point as the show came to a close.
And then they were done for the night. Heading back to the Bunker for a sleepover, it was easy to fall into this new rhythm of celebrating together over their success. Branch felt at ease with his friends and bandmates. They spent the night winding down chatting about anything that crossed their minds. Including a certain pink troll.

John Dory finally finds the village and he is determined to find his remaining brothers, before it’s too late. But he really sucks at it. He arrived at a horrible time, since the princess is so busy with the wedding preparation. So, he takes the matter into his own hands and starts looking for them on his own, but ends up getting lost. Luckily for him there’s a troll who can help him get around.
Basically a rewrite of the 3rd movie but with more drama.
In this AU JD didn’t know that everyone left after him, so when he reads the letter he is shocked. He’s also expecting to find all his brothers together but instead finds a Branch that he can’t recognize.

Branch never intended for things between him and John Dory to be so weird after the whole Mount Rageous fiasco. But the guy turned around and abandoned him for twenty whole years, and then just barged back into his life by literally crashing his friend’s royal wedding? Yeah, he was pretty sure things were gonna be weird whether he wanted them to be or not.
So when John Dory finally asked if they could talk about it, Branch lost his temper. He didn’t mean to, he honestly didn’t, but twenty years was a really long time to let those feelings fester, and an even longer time to be alone.
But then John Dory does something stupid, reckless, and extraordinary, and Branch is forced to face the fact that maybe, just maybe, he was wrong about him. Maybe John Dory isn’t the selfish monster he’d spent twenty years thinking he was.
He just hoped he would get the chance to apologize.
