“Look, I would absolutely love to take the kid in, I really would, but right now I can barely even take care of myself. I am working two part-time jobs on top of going to school full time. I also have four other roommates so I wouldn’t have enough space for him. I can babysit and I will be in his life, but I can’t be his caretaker. If I was out of med school, it’d be a different story.” Clay said not looking at either of his brothers. “That’s okay bro. This is why we're having this conversation now. As for me, I have the kids and I can make the space if needed to take him in, but I’m not sure I can handle a little brother and the kids together full-time.” Bruce said as he patted Clay’s back. “I can take him. I have the time and the funds to take care of him. I also have two great big brother’s who I know will help me and babysit for me when I need them too.”

If you were to tell Branch a month ago that he would be singing and dancing with hundreds of different trolls to celebrate their music and culture, he would have laughed in your face. He still feels like he’s trying to catch up, like his brain can’t quite understand everything that happened. Branch might just consider locking himself in the bunker for a few days if he didn’t already have more pressing things to deal with. This isn’t to say that Branch wasn’t utterly exhausted, he had been running around all day making sure things went smoothly. So when he got a tap on the shoulder and a letter addressed to him pressed into his paws, he felt a sense of dread of having to open it.

Summary
Sometimes Branch feels like he shouldn't be alive, he should have been dead a long time ago. He should have died in his beloved grandmother's place, but she died saving her distractedly singing grandson, because of Branch, his grandmother died. The only troll that shouldn't have been able to escape, the gray troll should have been eaten by the bergens.
He lives hidden from others, completely ignoring Poppy's desperate attempts to be his friend. Branch just wants to stay inside the bunker, with only the company of animals and the dead, those who don't judge him. He spends days and days safely trapped in the bunker, without caring about anything else.
Now, for some unknown reason, his brothers have come back to haunt him, wanting him to sing and dance, as if he were a normal troll. However, how to explain to them that the younger brother does not feel like a troll.
