Summary
It’s been almost six years since the death of his brother and Branch is shocked to find another one showing up out of the blue. As Floyd begs Branch to help him save one of their family, Branch and Poppy take Rhonda to reunite the remaining brothers and perform the perfect family harmony - the reason for their band splitting up in the first place.
Twenty years have passed, and a lot has changed for all of them. While Poppy encourages Branch to tell his brothers the truth, he struggles to admit what he sees as a failure and pushes on as a favor for Floyd. But the truth is not what they think it is and they have no idea what they are really getting themselves into.

Surviving in the wilderness really isn't all it's cracked up to be.
After being gone for a year, John Dory returns to the Troll Tree to find it completely empty. Save for one troll: His baby brother, Branch. Thinking the trolls and the rest of his family dead, he sets off once again to the Neverglade Trail, this time, with his baby brother in tow. Fueled by fear, guilt, and voices from the past he just can't seem to escape, he wonders if he made the right decision.
But he promised his brother he would never leave him again. So he wouldn't.
Besides, he was never known for his great decisions anyways.
(Based on the song "Great Decisions" by Judah & the Lion)

Floyd’s expression falters at the clear attempt of deflection. “Wh- Branch, you just went on an insane rescue mission! You’re the one who helped save all of us, you should be resting just as much as me.” He argues.
Resting does sound nice, it’s been awhile since he’s had a full night's sleep. Branch needs to ignore the way his joints ache, struggling to hold the not so heavy-coffee cup in his paws. Hopefully he still has some ginger left in his cabinet.
“Look Floyd, this isn’t the first insane rescue mission I’ve gone on,” he turns around to rummage through his medicine cabinet, anything to avoid eye contact, “I appreciate your concern but I’ll be fine in a couple days.”
or: Branch's paranoia kicks itself into high-gear again after returning home from Floyd and the rest of his brothers capture. It's fine though, it's not the first time he's dealt with it.

Dawn raises him, teaches him, cares for him. Yet, as with all good things in Branch's life, she too must leave into a deep sleep.
