AU - Canon Divergance series
Shanks went back for Luffy, unable to bear the thought of something happening to him after Shanks already lost Uta. Luffy, from the ages of 10-16, trains under Shanks and his crew, unlocks his haki early-on, earns a bounty, then officially starts his journey just like he promised his brothers!
After Luffy starts his journey in earnest, who will his crew members be? Luffy traverses the East Blue for some select crew members before arriving in Loguetown and then leaving for the Grand Line!This is planned to span the entire series according to each Arc!

Summary
Ace died protecting Luffy, his brother at Marineford and now he was in hell. It was the only explanation since he was in front of his father, Gol D. Roger on the Oro Jackson.
Or maybe life gave him a second chance. A chance to prevent a war before it happens. A chance to prevent his birth and make sure Luffy, Marco, and the rest of his family would be safe and sound.

Luffy couldn’t see red before, was locked to him in shades of grey, but now he could which meant one of his soulmates was in the stands somewhere, he had seen them,had finally met them, but he couldn't focus on that now when anger was boiling in his veins, a roar in his ears and he pulled back his fist and just -

Blood and bruises and shattered glass, a Celestial Dragon lying on the ground like a broken doll, his nakama jumping to fight the guards of the other two, to help him and for a moment Luffy had time to notice other new colours in his sight, shades of yellow and golden that had been missing before and he still didn’t know who they are for.
The colour of your soulmate's eyes is out of reach, replaced by shades of grey, until you meet them. In the Human Auction House three Supernovas suddenly see their world with all the colours they had missed. It changes little in the way events unfold on Sabaody and yet everything in the long run.

Summary
Garp knew the moment Roger told him about his kid that it would only spell out trouble. In no life would he be able to sit back and let the kid die before he ever got to live.
In another life, that meant keeping the child at a distance. The less known about his “grandson,” the better. Let them believe it was for the crimes of his own son. But that life ended with Garp sitting on a parapet, helpless as the boy he had watched grow up was executed for the very crime he spent years protecting him from.
In this life, Garp kept him much closer and didn’t make it quite as far.
AKA The ASL brothers grow up slightly differently than in canon, and have to leave Dawn earlier than they anticipated.

He was not, however, prepared to enter this new world as an infant. He should've known better than to trust the word of Gods.

Cale ends up traveling to the universe of One Piece. Placed in a the body of an infant, he is taken in and raised by the future captain of the Red-Haired Pirates.

Eiichiro Oda's magnum opus, One Piece, is a supremely entertaining and clever story filled with masterful worldbuilding and visuals, and just the most memorable characters with compelling struggles and growth. But one thing fans have felt it was lacking for over 10 years: a sequence where the crew fill each other in on the events of their lives during their 2 years apart. Let's have the crew laugh at Zoro for getting lost in Mihawk's castle, roll their eyes hearing about the "Hell" Sanji lived in for two years, and perhaps cringe at the tale of Franky blowing up an entire building by accident. Heck, there's a whole lot more to tell from even before they all got split up in Sabaody! Have our newer nakama tremble in fear of the skilled assassin "Miss All-Sunday", let Franky get out the guitar and shed manly tears as he learns of Nami's liberation from Arlong Park, and make sure Brook knows how much his 8 friends loved their sweet lamb Going Merry.
Oh, and maybe someone should ask Luffy about the War?
