What began as a “we’re going to be amicable and work together” eventually turned into friendship, which grew into a second chance romance, and finally found its natural conclusion when Johnny Cage dropped to his knee with a new engagement ring.
Cassie immediately named herself the official party planner. She wanted her parents to have the day they deserved; It monopolized her every waking moment.
Which meant that it monopolized theirs, too.
So, a quiet night at the Cage/Blade residence quickly turned into another planning session, one which sent Cassandra on a quest.
“Well?” Cass looked between them. “We can’t have a re-wedding without a re-wedding song!”

She's two weeks out of bootcamp when a new movie comes out and she is roped into attending. All attempts to resist are futile; it is quite nearly kicking and screaming that gets her pulled out to see a cheap B-tier action movie. They pre-game it with drinks, shovel fistfuls of too-salty fake-butter popcorn into their mouths, and think nothing of it until the hero of the flick gets his shirt damaged halfway through.
"Hey," Hague whispers, elbowing Sonya in the side, "ain't that one like yours?"
Sonya frowns, handful of popcorn halfway to her mouth. It looks—familiar. Like it might be. Like it is, whispers the little voice of hope in her head, the one she tries so hard to silence.
But him? Some actor, and a B-list one at that? Some guy wearing a fucking mime outfit?
She shakes her head. "No way in hell."
