One could say, if one were one who had observed Percy’s life, or even a passerby on the street, a bard or a godly observer, that he knew pain. He had known nothingness and knives, loss and the bleak redness in his belly of revenge. He had even started to know the pain of love, the sprout of newness, the itch of the first stitch healing, the realization you would carry it with you and it would be heavier than you had originally planned.
These, briefly, did not compare to the pain he suddenly realized had amassed in his face.
Percy and the team spend a long rest recuperating in the Feywild after Percy's sight is restored. Some help more than others.
