Percy swallows and looks straight ahead. “I think we’re past ‘in me.’ I think it’s just… me, now.”
He looks back up as Vax puts a hand on his shoulder. A gentle touch.
“Tread carefully, Percival. For my sake, for my sister’s… and for you.”
Vax walks away.

Summary
My aasimar Percy AU. Not a song fic, I just couldn't resist the punny title. Consists of four works:
1. Angel With a Shotgun, the main work, telling an alternate version of the events of the Briarwoods arc
2. The Falllout of Falling Up, a comedic scene taking place after the previous work
3. Find Our Wings, a serious two-chapter fic showing Cassandra and Percy in the aftermath of the Briarwoods arc
4. After and Above, an epilogue to the series taking place after the events of the main campaignI highly recommend reading in order, as each work assumes you have read the previous. This series is complete.

“It’s okay,” he says, and then meets her eyes. She holds his gaze. He mouths, “Trust me?”
For a moment, she doesn’t move. Then, the slightest of nods. And Percy gives the voices, the souls of his blessed ancestors shoved into his body by the work of monsters, what they want.
He runs forward.
The fire blazes, hotter than ever, hot enough that it begins to hurt, and he feels it pour through his veins and nerves and every part of him-
The flames arch hungrily towards his sister, and just as he’s about to reach her, her eyes widen in fear. He meets her gaze.
And then jumps for the demon at her back.
The demon’s skeletal form clatters to the ground, half-concealed in smoke, and Percy can barely tell if he’s holding on or not. The fire flows into his grip, scalding the darkness with its light.
The demon writhes, and Percy lets the fire burn, burn, burn, release, just as it’s wanted. His vision is filled by it, white made of blue-red, and within it the demon screams.
His wings flare with the rising temperature, stretch outwards, backwards, and suddenly he’s a conflagrating hourglass, two jets of white-hot fire streaming from his core, one into the air and one into the demon.
It squirms in his grasp, and for a moment he loses it, and flames fill his mouth as he gasps, only for it to give in again, pinned to the floor. The all-consuming white fades just enough to see Cassandra, leaning down, holding her shadow to the floor.
The voices scream in confusion, fear, anger- he can’t tell. But they go, go, go, pour out of him and up through his wings, released into the heart of their home.

Percy is struggling to adapt to his role as leader of Whitestone after the Briarwoods were unseated and Whitestone was freed from their tyranny. Their legacy, however, still lingers in the taint they left on the castle and their associates who remain in the city.
With his owl companion, Artemis, and Vox Machina by his side, Percy's future isn't as grim as it could be, but despite new relationships blossoming, waves of undead continue to attack the city and tensions are stirred up among the Council as a shadow of death continues to haunt the city.
