Summary
“Caspian,” Peter says, and it comes out softer than he plans. Caspian startles lightly, nearly shies away like his own steed before realizing it’s only Peter beside him. Immediately, his tension eases. Destrier settles. The hollow in Peter fills.
“Yes?” Caspian asks. The slanting afternoon sunlight renders his eyes to gold. A petal from the fistfuls the cheering crowds threw into their path is caught in the ends of his hair, and his crown is still askew.
Without really meaning to, Peter reaches up and nudges it carefully back into place with the very tips of his fingers. Caspian is utterly still under his touch, eyes wide as he stares at Peter, and probably at least one of Peter’s siblings is watching them right now, but Peter finds he doesn’t care.
“Your crown was crooked,” Peter tells him, and brushes a stray strand of Caspian’s hair from his face as he lets his hand fall away, because he is suddenly more than a little bold.

Here, the wind got into his jacket and pierced his skin. Here, it was biting and made his cheeks hurt as the wind lashed him. He had to stare at the ground beneath him whenever they went out. Which really never happened, because he hated the feeling of the wind getting into his eyes, making them water. He supposed that he didn’t really even have a reason to hold his chin high anymore. The Tidestriders were no longer nobles. They were just… ordinary people. A few Tritons living in a coastal town, instead of the city known for their people, or even in the ocean.
The house creaked as the wind picked up, making Gillion wonder if a storm was coming in.

OR Gillion Tidestrider is a 17 year old boy in the 1980s whose family just moved to a small coastal town. With little to think about and less to do, he wanders down to the beach one day as a storm encroaches. He's never seen a proper storm before, but this storm will certainly show him all sorts of things- how to make friends with a boy his age, and things he never thought possible, like life aboard a ship that sank 300 years ago.Series

“proposing to me while i had a ring in my pocket. had to get a one up somehow.” edmund flashes his canines and caspian really laughs, ignoring the watery tones in the sound, and forces himself to roll his eyes because come on, he has a reputation.
edmund looks at caspian expectantly until he says, forcing exasperation in his voice, “oh, all right. i suppose.”
if edmund’s grin could get any wider, it just did, and he gets to his feet to slide the ring on caspian’s finger. the seafarer takes out the ring of his own- silver, as well, in the shape of a small laurel with miniscule gemstones on three of the leaves- and forces edmund to hold still as he slides it on.
“you gave me a heart attack.”
“aw, no need to get worked up over little old me.”

As Caspian and Edmund are discussing starting a search party come morning, and Reepicheep is insisting that they press on, Lucy hears a very faint noise in the brush behind them. Just then something sharp and cool and likely metal has been set lightly against the back of her neck and a voice she knows almost as well as her own commands, “Don’t move.”
Lucy cannot see who stands behind her, but she doesn’t need to. She knows, though she can hardly believe it; stands frozen in shock as the others wheel round, reaching for weapons before they stumble to dumbfounded halts. Caspian is open-mouthed. Lucy is grinning.
Edmund says, wonderingly, “Susan?”
(or, the one where lucy and edmund are not the only pevensies who voyage aboard the dawn treader.)
