Summary
The year is 1996. Shinra, Shizuo, and Izaya are first years attending Raijin Academy a foreign student shows up. Emi Shinkyo is immune to Izaya's manipulation, not scared of Shizuo, and fascinated by the supernatural like Shinra. As she struggles to navigate life in a foreign country her father left behind, she develops an unlikely friendship with the three boys.
When someone that Emi cares about falls victim to the serial killer called the Liver Man, Izaya takes it upon himself to investigate. Shizuo wants nothing to do with it, but he's dragged into it anyways. Shinra learns about the company his father works for and questions why it's so interested in the string of recent murders. Meanwhile, Emi and her cousin are dragged into the killer's operation. Shizuo and Izaya must learn to work together to help Emi overcome the demons in her past and protect her from the demons in her present.

Плывя в толпе, не нужно прислушиваться к звуку собственного имени, как и вглядываться в лица напротив в поисках привычной улыбки или дружеского приветствия. Именно тогда он и вспоминает об Изае. После нескольких лет, прошедших с момента их последней схватки, Шизуо видит знакомое лицо в чужом городе.
