Summary

Allen doesn't trust the Black Order. He never has, not since Cross Marian tried to kill him. And so he's been running from them his whole life.
A fic where Allen and the members of the Order follow mostly canon compliant events, but modified. Allen has never been a member of the Black Order, or an official exorcist, and is deeply mistrustful of the Order and all who affiliate with it, even as he works to rid the world of akuma by himself.

Anita is happy to drag him to each stall in the market, speaking in her native tongue so confidently and swiftly that he only catches key phrases. She walks away with something she calls tanghulu and her face brightens when he tries a bite and makes a delighted noise.

"Kanda! Someone could be-" Walker’s words cut off, a muffled moan replacing them. A pale leg kicked out passed the statue, fabric hanging from the ankle before it was curled back in.
Chaoji's mouth went dry with anticipation. This is what he had been waiting for. For Walker to screw up, to make a mistake. This was surely something he could use to finally get him thrown in prison. Slowly, he inched sideways to peer around the statue, and was stunned into stillness at the sight presented to him. There was just enough light coming through the windows on the opposite side of the hall to capture every detail.

Allen Walker is a common mime living in England. He likes performing for the people and seeing them smile, but he doesn't just perform your average mime things. He performs gruesome death scenes and torture methods. He was slowly gaining popularity through his in-depth and realistic performances.
These two have something in common but live in different parts of the world. Will they meet someday or will they stay strangers forever?

Allen Walker is the new kid at school, but that's nothing new, he's always the new kid with how often he moves around. This time it seems like he and his guardian, Cross, may be sticking around in America for a while, so at the very least he would like to make some new friends.
Kanda Yu, still dealing with the loss of his ex-boyfriend, Alma, a year later, as well as his brother's recent passing, has zero interest in getting to know the new kid. He doesn't give a shit, seemingly about anything anymore, actually.
What starts off as a bitter rivalry soon blossoms into something more over time. Perhaps instead of fighting with each other, Allen and Kanda can learn to help each other through their own trauma.
