Summary

Summary
Kindness. Cid was not so delicate with his approach the first time, but here he is…unbearably generous. It all makes Clive want to shatter into pieces. Clive opens his mouth to speak, but he finds himself unable to give sound to the words trapped in his throat.
“Get dressed. Pretty as you are, you’re not my type.”
For a moment Clive is thankful the cell chamber is dark enough to obscure the details of his face lest Cid try to use his onset of bashfulness against him. He was hardly embarrassed or bothered by the words the first time around, but something about the way Cid spoke this time around made Clive…
No, he’s being foolish.
Clive closed his eyes on the shores of Valisthea and opened them in the familiar cell of Cid's Hideaway, and now he must contend with how to fix the future without alerting Ultima and how to deal with an oddly protective and overbearing Cid.

But before anyone can step in to help, he runs off to Tabor.
Lucky for our two Rosfields, Cid is here to save the day.

Initially hesitant, Joshua accepts, though that doesn't mean he's ready for all of his wounds to be on full display. Past, present, and future, there is still a lot of healing to be done between them. Can Cid and Clive, who guided each other through their darkest moments, do the same for the younger Rosfield? Or is there simply too much history there to overcome?
