Summary
Written for a prompt passed my way: Mulder is assigned to monitor Scully's computer and falls in love with her. Set in 1993 and working under the premise that Mulder and Scully met on March 6, 1993 and not March 6, 1992.
*There is some content in the story that while not graphic, might be disturbing to some. If you watch the show, I'm guessing you can handle it.

Furthermore, he feels he has a sense of honesty about what he does. He kills people. So do a lot of people, people with so-called legitimate positions. Just because they’re not the ones pulling the trigger – just because it’s a collective effort-- just because their murder weapon is the geopolitical machinations that lead to economic despair, famine, war-- doesn’t mean they’re not responsible. But they lie to themselves, look themselves in the mirror as they straighten their tie, ready for another day at an office in downtown DC, and tell themselves that they’re the good guys.

Summary
“Just— why were these cases shelved? There’s obviously something going on.”
“Beats me.”
Mulder sounds close. Spencer stops in his tracks, tensing.
He’d started to pace for his small ramble, not really noticing. Just something for his body to do while his mind goes elsewhere. But somewhere between the light switch and the desk, Mulder had found a way to sneak up behind Spencer, talk to him with the lilt of a vampire from an old Hollywood movie.
Spencer sucks in a breath. He turns and finds himself stuck between the wall and his new coworker, tabloids and posters wrinkling against his back.
“Do you believe,” asks Mulder, slow and calculated and awfully intense, “in the existence of extraterrestrials?”
What?
or,
Spencer Reid of the BAU gets (temporarily) reassigned to the X-Files, the pet project of one Fox "Spooky" Mulder.
Something about the whole deal is so, so, so suspicious.Series

Summary
Dr. Sarah Carter is recruited to the FBI as head of the laboratory and forensic psychology in 1996 and is quickly assimilated into the world of the X-Files as Agents Mulder and Scully find a quick and reliable ally in her. She is consulted on cases and drawn into the work as the months go by.
This newcomer successfully steps all over the toes of Assistant Director Walter Skinner as he struggles to maintain control of the Bureau and his volatile agents, urged to unpredictability by the new head of forensic psychology under his direction. He instantly butts heads with the new addition to the team, and him and Dr. Carter attempt to navigate a professional and personal minefield of moves and countermoves while existing in the same workplace.
This is a canon-divergent piece of work centered on an original character, set around the end of Season 2 in a universe where Sharon and Walter Skinner successfully divorce, and she does not die. Not everything will be accurate or precise, it is all meant in good fun and for entertainment purposes.

Summary
After being rescued from six weeks of captivity, Mulder attempts to recover from the near-annihilation of his selfhood by the Syndicate via its insidious dronification program, conceived and designed in order to create perfect sex slaves and aid in the development of a vaccine against the black oil. Mulder struggles to return to normal while reconciling with how the program has changed him and while building stronger relationships with the most important people in his life. Meanwhile, Scully and Skinner, who pulled out all the stops in order to get Mulder back safe and sound when he disappeared, attempt to support and aid Mulder as he faces both inner and outer challenges. Skinner in particular finds himself bonding deeply with Mulder as he lends as much support to his broken agent as he possibly can in Mulder’s time of survival, struggle, and rebuilding.

Summary
This is the original prequel to Rooted in Friendship. It starts right before Season 1 Episode 1 and it ends in the beginning of season 3. As with all my stories, I do my best to follow canon.
