So, that’s exactly what she did. She helped build back Sandrock. Hero? Maybe. Courageous? Sure. Fulfilled? Possibly… but that’s what she should feel, right?That comes into question after something simple. Andy mentioned something offhanded one day that led down a road of inconceivably dumb luck and perhaps building something more. Life isn’t just about building up a town; sometimes, in a rare few, the town builds up something more in a person. Lucy experienced such growing pains after the routine returned to Sandrock.
This takes place in contrast to Cornered Beasts. It is another take on how a rough-and-tumble yakboy finds himself running into a thick-as-magnesium steelhead.

This fic starts up right after the canon events of the mission Eagles in the Oasis and will contain mild spoilers for that and the rest of Fang's friendship missions. (The romance missions may become inspiration but will get into fix-it territory.) No major spoilers for the main story.

Logan knows he's in over his head with this new builder he's been tasked with watching. She's suspicious and dangerous. Hell, she fights like she was born with daggers in her hands. If that wasn't evidence enough that she was Duvos, he didn't know what was. To add insult to injury, she's just about the most tempting little thing he's ever seen. It's Harmless enough until it starts making him reckless and stupid.
I wrote this, deleted it, then re-wrote it, so I'm starting over.
