She would have not dreamed to return to the green hills so soon, but a letter from her dear sister, Belladonna, changed her mind. The letter had found her too late, so she was only able to express her condolence to Bilbo, her nephew.She didn't stay too long in her hometown though. Not due to the shunning and mean comments of her fellow hobbits, but because of a certain stubborn royal ass of a dwarf stealing away her heart. Well, and she surely couldn't let her cute nephew head blindly into the dangers of the outside world all on his own, on the recommendation of her old meddling friend.

Pre-Hobbit. For a prompt on the kinkmeme way back in round 2, which I somehow only now found:
we all had possesive Kili or Fili and tender Kili/Fili etc.
Now I'd like to see them both hating the hell out of each other. Since they were younger they were always fighting and their mother didn't know what to do about it.
I always wondered why Kili and Fili didn't arrive at bag end with Thorin, soooo, I thought that maybe Thorin had enough of their fighting and sent them on an adventure. Alone. Right before the one concerning the hobbit.
I'd like to read something that makes them realise that they hated each other so much because they knew it would be wrong to love each other. Something like that. or something else... surprise me!Pretty much what it says on the tin. Not beta'ed. All mistakes are my own.

Ori has been training to be a scribe since he got his apprenticeship two years ago. Now, finally a full-fledged scribe, he's approached by the crown prince of Erebor to become his personal scribe. He jumps at the chance to move upwards in society and be closer to the man he's so long held a secret flame for. Fíli has been groomed since birth to take the throne under the mountain after his uncle, Thorin Oakenshield. He should not be getting distracted by a commoner. Except, his new scribe and one-time friend is anything but common.
Now, as secrets begin to divide the royal family, the two lovers must choose between their duty to the kingdom and their duty to each other.

Summary
When I wrote "Kidnapped!" I voiced that I had not made it as dark as I could have and speculated on writing a dark!AU to the story. A fellow author asked "Why don't you?" So with no fanfare I present the story of the Dwarven nation of Erebor, the mightiest of the Dwarf Kingdoms - sharply divided between Alpha, Omega and Beta. By tradition only an Alpha may be crowned King, but Thorin has yet to produce an Alpha heir, so the title of Prince falls to the Alpha son of his only sister, Omega Princess Dis, who rules the Omega Quarter. Into this kingdom is delivered a young Omega named Kili who first sees the mountain kingdom as a haven, but soon starts to peel back the layers of danger and intrigue. He will quickly have to learn to navigate the political mineshafts in this place if he is to make anything of himself. To make matters more complicated, everyone sees him as something to be used or owned or captured, from Dis the Omega Monarch to Thorin the Incomplete King to Fili the Golden Son of Durin.
