It had been a week since Tensei's death and Tenya hasn't gotten any better. His parents' behavior had gotten worse, escalating from yelling and slapping to full on beatings. The fact that they're breathing down his neck didn't help anything. When Tenya gets back from his week long break, Uraraka was the first to approach him. And was the one that noticed his shaking arm.
Now, after haven gotten surgery to repair the nerve damage in his left arm, Iida hits an all time low. His parents leave messages and voice mails about how he's bringing shame to the family's name for needing surgery. The unhealed wounds from the fight with Stain leaves him awake at night. Pulling out his engines aren't currently doing anything for him. So, he decides to take a blade to his skin. A thing he hasn't done years.
All of this piles up until Iida is sitting on his bed, with a note in hand and a bottle of piles. Staring blankly at an unsent message to his parents.
'I hope your happy now. <3 :)'
But, he doesn't want to go through with it? Why can't he do it?

“Take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a quirk in your next life.”
Something broke inside Izuku as his friend bully walked off laughing, thinking he made a really cool joke.
A tiny spark of anger showed itself inside Izuku; it wasn’t anything bigger than a spark, honestly, and in some story, Izuku would have let it out and let it die off of fear. This isn’t that story.
Izuku kept that spark buried, as that tiny spark started to grow and grow, a pure of heart Midoriya started to get corrupted, he started to assume the worst of everyone, became cynical and cold, shut himself off for he did not want to be hurt like that ever again.

It's lonely at the top. Iida Tenya knew this for a fact. It's almost funny; where he ended up was the exact opposite from where he had intended. All it took was one wrong turn, or maybe it was a right turn? After all, he had everything now. Money, power, control, it was all his to use as he wished. But what had it cost? It had all started when he had gone after Stain, the hero killer. It was just an average revenge story that had gone perfectly to plan.
