Astro and Shelly have been in a relationship since freshman year of highschool, but Shelly is now graduated from college with a bachelor's and master's degree. But not long after she gets her master's, she finds out about Astro's 'secret job' (he's a gangster) and it's too late to just live knowing he's in a gang. They have a choice to either stay and make either (or both of them) get killed by the gang OR, They have to flee. This has been a passion project of mine for a while now. However, with the changes that have happened in my life, in the time since I have begun this piece, I am no longer proud of the work I’ve done here. I plan to rewrite GSI in the future to be more aligned with where I see my writing skills.
It’s been over six months since Gardenview officially closed. With no visitors in sight, the toons have been trapped for as long as they could remember. Arthur has come to fear his own creations he once adored, and Delilah, once busy in her lab all day, has now had to step up now that all the toon handlers are gone. Funds for the company are slowly running dry, and the future looks grim.
It’s a future that Shelly has… willingly accepted. With her own miserable past surrounding her slowly fading relevance and popularity with Gardenview’s patrons, she’s already used to staying holed up in her room all day, waiting for things to get better. But when Arthur and Delilah finally return to the spotlight with a plan to save Gardenview from permanent closure, Shelly and the other toons are forced into a profitable, yet dangerous situation. Just how much is saving the company worth?

When Sprout introduces the surviving toons to the resurrected Cosmo and Shelly after the Ichor Operation incident, the group's reaction is far from celebratory. The two Toons, brought back to life through unknown means, are grotesquely altered, with twisted bodies and ichor-filled skin that tries to escape their skin any chance it gets. As tensions rise, Sprout's enthusiasm clashes with the others disgust and concern, leading to broken relationships.
Meanwhile, Dandy's fascination with the undead Toons raises questions about their true nature and Sprout's intentions. Can the group find a way to accept these new, broken versions of their friends, or will Sprout's obsession tear them further apart?
