Summary
The atmosphere was desolate, deprived of life, and accompanied by sorrow. It had been 40 years since the start of the outbreak, since the reckoning. Some used to say it was fate, it was what humanity deserved, then there were some who scientifically looked for clues in every symptom they could find. However, all of the survivors come to the same stance on their new world, it was hell.
However, this is the world Uzi must survive in alone.. At least alone being a concept she imagines.

Being a Disassembly Drone has its perks. You get to kill, eat, and live another day under the thumb of a god who could kill you with a snap of their fingers but finds enjoyment in letting you live. It's a hard task to uphold, but J lives for the challenge.
Until one day, some toaster ends up hijacking J's radio transmitter and starts talking about things it shouldn't know. Dangerous things that drive J to find them and shut them up for good before someone gets ideas to do things the company would find unacceptable.

Uria Gunner wasn't one to avoid doing something big.
It didn't matter that a lot of drones thought her and her father were crazy, it didn't matter that she only had three friends, and it definitely didn't matter that there were bloodthirsty war machines sitting outside their bunker, waiting to tear everyone inside to shreds. All she had to do was head outside the bunker, find what she needed to get her secret project working, blast all of those things to hell with it, and then every drone on Elysium-4 would be free from what many of them called the "Night Demons". Simple!
She got a little bit more than she bargained for, though.
After a chance meeting outside with one of those Night Demons, Uria begins to unravel the truth behind what has ravaged her home planet for the past fifteen years and begins something that could save or destroy the universe itself.
