"It had been a long 2 months since Beacon fell. Team Junip- Junior had laid up on the island of Patch while attempting to confront their next move. The woman on the broadcast had said she hailed from Mistral, but no one had been able to send out raiding parties to confirm. There was still too much to clean up back home."

That question had haunted Pyrrha, for what could very well have been her whole life. She had always done what she thought was right, wondering if her path was already determined. Training, fighting, caring, hurting, falling… dying. When she set off running for the tower of Beacon, she knew one thing: she was going to die here and now, doing what she thought was right. She was going to die. She had accepted it, readied herself for her last moment. Given up hope and made peace with what had been her life.She should have died.
And then she woke up, gasping for air. -

The locals have a number of supposedly wise sayings about the sand, though most of them she’s learned to dismiss. The sand will guide you (to a longer shower than you should be taking), the sand holds many secrets (like what is fine on a beach but hellish in large quantities), sayings like that that she’s had to learn to finish on her own.
One of them has stuck with her though: the sand will wear you down or build you up.
Behind a cool veneer, tinted shades, and glossy chocolate lipstick, Coco’s about as built up as she can be.
The same very much can’t be said about Velvet, though.
