Paintbrush has a hard time with rejection. So when they start getting a crush on Tissues, things start to go south really fast when they start coughing up blue forget-me-nots. Paintbrush and Tissues don't speak much, so there's no chance he liked them back.
This takes place about a month after it started. Things are getting rough and they're not sure how much longer they can lie to others about it.
