"I'm sorry, Papi; I didn't mean to worry you anymore!" Talullah cried into the front of Wilbur's sweater.
Wilbur only hugged her tighter, hushing her with soft-spoken reassurances, telling her nothing she could do would ever upset him. He lifts his head, resting his chin on her head, scanning, and taking in their surroundings, all while a small circle flashing red light on his temple continues to blink, much to his annoyance. He sighs, closing his eyes, and gently runs his fingers through her thick hair, mindful of knots.
