Everything is quiet, the world has paused and the only sound is the squelching of the knife he digs into his mentor's chest. The heroes behind him are silent.
Once he’s finished cutting into his mentor's chest he stands. He’s covered in blood and he feels powerful,
“Nightmare is dead. Nightmare will never fight again, Solaris will, Solaris lives.” He’s looking at the helicopters, right into the lens of the camera watching him. He’s shocked they haven't cut the cameras.
“I am Solaris, and I am not a sidekick.”
Tommy will not let himself be a sidekick, and if that takes getting a job at the hero tower to use information to prove that he is powerful, he will.

Summary
Quackity, once a wonderful young boy that happened to come from a not so good home, a home where neither of his parents were, a home that was lived in only when he was not around.
All his life he grew to believe that he was a waste of space, only there to make his parents look better, to be a decoration, not a son.
He was trained by many, but he never opened up to them, knowing that sooner or later they would send him to the next trainer. He never made friends with the other kids when he was put into a non private class, he didn't stay long, the trainer told his moms that he was just not clicking with the other kids and that it worried them. After that his moms would yell at him, scream at him asking why he couldn't be normal, why he wanted to bring down his family's perfect life! But his views changed when he entered into the last school he’d have to go to, when his eyes landed on a Magpie elytrian with fluffy brown hair. Something- no, someone new in his life.
Maybe that's what got him here, that love for something or someone new. Maybe that's why he’s chained down, and once again used as decoration by someone he thought would love him.

Summary
Quackity is a hero struggling with a shit ton of trauma and doesn’t have a good support system with the people he’s supposed to marry causing him to question the life he thought he always wanted.
Wilbur is a villain hell bent on destroying the hero’s he won’t let any of them stand in his way if it means that he can’t accomplish his goal that he’s worked in for years with his family and friends he hadn’t had in mind falling for a little duck he swore to kill.

Em kept handing me really good Superhero AU prompts.
So I mixed and matched, came up with some scenes, tried out some different ships and hey, this is actually pretty fun.
We've got villain Karl (which nobody really does or does seriously). We've got flirty Quackity (because he doesn't discriminate, hero or villain, pretty face = flirt button). We've got Wilbur's various mental health issues (then again, most heroes do in our AUs)
We have the occasional appearance of a civilian/hero or villain dynamic. We've got some fun villain/civi/hero ideas. And these bois have *jazz hands* TRAUMA.

That is, until he accidentally sets the kitchen on fire just by thinking about hot chocolate, and realizes he... might need a little more help than he thought.

Tommy was an assassin, but that was before he escaped the Hero Commission. Now, He's living a regular life in his small apartment with his regular 9-5 job at Niki's Cafe. Well... all's normal aside for the reason he doesn't get his full 8 hours of sleep: Theseus. That is, Tommy is Theseus.
His life is flipped upside when he, not only, gets reunited with his friends- but also finds out the Commission is working to capture him again -all in one night. Now, Tommy must save Tubbo and Purpled, keep himself from getting kidnapped by the 'mighty heros of L'Manburg,' and keep all this from the syndicate while they're wondering why Theseus keeps running into two heroes on purpose.
OR: Tommy is an ex assassin and wants to save his friends. He has to do this all while evading capture. Featuring: the syndicate just trying to protect the city's beloved vigilante, Theseus, as he seemingly continues to throw himself at the Commission (that's what it looks like, Okay??).

On impulse, he blurted out, “Do you want to get coffee sometime?”
Quackity stiffened, surprise flashing across his features. Panic suddenly flared in Wilbur’s chest as he realized the implications of what he offered. It was one thing to come over and hang out as friends, and a very different thing to go out for coffee. He had crossed an invisible line in the sand, and not an unimportant one.
While friendship across the hero-villain divide was fine and even encouraged, romantic relationships were far too complicated and could turn bad very quickly. He knew that, and Quackity knew that too. While coffee didn’t have to be romantic, it was far too close for comfort when they had already been drifting on the edge of impropriety for so long.
That’s why he was shocked when Quackity jerkily nodded his head.

Attention directed below, Tommy heard whispers coming from behind his body. As he turns around and shifts to look for the sound source, to no avail there was no person. No source of the noise. The whispers. The judgemental harsh voices. Rude. He turns around looking back at the petty fight below, surely the voices are just fucking with me thinks Tommy.
Soon enough the fight got more serious, one man hit the other. A loud CRACK echoed throughout the alley as blood spilled from the vulnerable man's nose. Tommy rested his head on his hand. "Damn you gonna feel that in the morning", Tommy mumbles to himself. Not at all expecting an answer.
"He sure is." A hand landed on Tommy's shoulder, the grip was unbearable, it felt like someone was trying to claw their way inside of his bones. Immediately Tommy's body reacts to the touch without thinking. His breath catches as he got up, ready to prepare for the worse he turns around,

"I'm obviously not in a position to defend myself.""Calm down; I've decided to save you out of pure compassion in my heart. In all honesty, I enjoy fighting you and would rather not see you die. You're just so damn entertaining to fuck with that I think I might even be mournful if you passed away." Siren began with a broad grin that stretched across his face. With his foot he pushed Quackity onto his back and hummed, scanning across him. "It appears that I have my work cut out for me."

A long stretch of silence went on and Ranboo thought that maybe Dream had left but he was wrong. Ranboo’s breath hitched as Dream’s mask stared him right in the eyes, “𝘛𝘢𝘨.”
