Summary
I wanted to try retelling the story of the "Book of Mormon" musical but as though it were a drama/tragedy rather than a comedy. The overall storyline will be the same, though I do plan on adding more trauma.
Kevin always thought his mission would be the best two years of his life. He spent so much of his childhood studying and working to become the next Joseph Smith. He prayed to Heavenly father every night that he'd get the chance to spend those two years in his favorite place and he had no reason to doubt. Maybe he didn't pray correctly or maybe Heavenly Father truly had it out for him. Or maybe these Ugandan villagers needed him to lead them to salvation. Whatever the reason was, Kevin knew he'd have to work even harder.Arnold had never really been into the whole "church" part of being religious. He'd tried to read the Book of Mormon, but it truly was just so boring. However, something did eat away at him as he got paired with the best, smartest missionary at the training center. Was he going to let Elder Price down, like he had any other friend he'd made? Elder Price can't leave him, though. These two missionaries were stuck together for two whole years and Arnold was going to make the best of that time.

Elder Price was not an untouchy man, by any means. He never avoided being touched and didn't have any problems with closeness. Connor knew that Elder Price was no stranger to hugs and whatnot, seeing as he had grown up the oldest of three and his mission companion was a very affectionate man.
The problem was that now, Elder Price could not stand it. Connor truly could not understand how a man like Kevin Price could go from hugging people in greeting (out of habit, of course) to practically jumping out of his skin every time someone got close to him. The brunette never told Connor what was happening or why he did this, but it was obvious; it was never more obvious than it was a few moments ago.

Kevin Price really expected better than this. His resolve cracked over and over again until he's snapped, he's trying to rebuild his own identity and process all that's happened in this past week. While he tries to cut himself off from his equally lost fellow ex missionaries, there's a certain ginger who just can't let go. He was on board with staying in the moment, but now that he's processed what that means, he refuses to leave. God, it annoys Kevin so much that this guy refuses to see the truth right in front of him. So naturally, he takes it upon himself to try and deprogram him from the Mormon church's harmful views. Just because Elder McKinley is annoying, so he wants to find out if Connor is any better. Can be read as platonic McPriceley for the most part.
