Turns out he really was adopted (that story about the First Lady bringing him to the world was bogus, now that he thinks about it!) and his parents were in fact aliens, part of an ancient warrior race known as the Saiyans which has long since died out. After the Defeat of the Alpha Nanite, it was time for Ben to return to his universe... only for something to go wrong.
In a wild attempt to escape, Alpha causes the portal to the Null Void to act violently, causing Rex to make the choice to jump in after them. The end result was for Ben and Rex to get stranded in a universe they don't recognize... in the Nevada town of Jasper.
It is here where they'll meet the Autobots, and together they may be able to track Alpha down and find their ways home.

What happens when you take an orphaned 20 year old, mix a an close to unrestricted cybertronian, a sprinkle of potential for technopathy and technovoracy, the Exponentialy variegated organisms from generator rex, an unholy amount of crafting magic and information(arcane and otherwise), then you add in a human mind and spark for reality bending energies and shove them back into their body and leave them into a sort of amalgamated young justice DC universe? They make their transmigration everybody's problem once they realize that it's a real world and stories are never exact or completely true. ( I am basically unsupervised and will take a shotgun to canon plots just to see if I can, I'm sorry not sorry in advance.

The War against Fuse was lost. The Resistance fought as long as they could, but they couldn't stop the inevitable.
