He dreams of flying once again with them, but what goes up must come down.

As Captain Bruce Wayne works to uncover the secrets of the Court of Owls, he crosses paths with many lonely children. The Dark Knight certainly has room for more.
This takes place before the events of Madness or Brilliance, which at this point in my planning is more of “concept art” than anything. There are elements of that story that will reappear in the future, but for now I will be focusing on the origins of Bruce’s crew.

If the hero game one trip up can get you killed or it can save you. Dick Grayson can't make trip-ups, doesn't make trip-ups, but especially not around his younger siblings (and kids even if they really aren't his). So he lies, with body and words, by performing, and makes sure he doesn't have to use his safety-net. After all, he learned his season with safety-nets; always have one even if they're invisible.
Jason Todd hates liars and depends on his gut to know who is who. When around Dick Grayson his gut yells and screams at him, it warns him that, Dick Grayson is a liar. When he finial gets a lead after so many years he follows it to learn about the real Dick Grayson not the liar. For he has always hated a liar and it surely wasn't because he cared or anything for the younger ones. Nope, not all, it was to expose Dick Grayson.
