Rain poured down in heavy sheets, slicking the ground and causing deep mud puddles to form in the dips of the grass. Droplets cascaded down the overweighted leaves, falling to the forest floor with massive, heavy drops. The wind whipped the tall grass and branches around, hitting Link in the face as he ran.
His footsteps thumped against the ground, boots heavy worn boots splashing into the puddles and spewing his already soaked pants with more mud and water. He held a hand above his head, blocking the rain from getting into his eyes as he squinted to see in the growing darkness.

They had no way of knowing what the Shrine of Resurrection would do, no matter how obvious its title might have seemed. And once they determined it was a healing chamber, they had no possible means to determine how long it could take to heal someone. Let alone someone as injured as he was.
Or, somewhere in the past, a miscalculation was made, and Link wakes up drowning in supposed healing waters, far too early and far too unhealed.
And Hyrule waits to be saved, regardless.
