With Hades returned to the Aetherial Sea and no plans for a reunion in this life…what next? Can Glori find happiness? Can she let herself find happiness? Glori and her dearest friends saved the very star, but this challenge may prove more daunting than defeating despair itself. Healing is needed, fences need mending, and then, maybe, just maybe, two old hearts may finally align.
This story, about a Hyur Warrior of Light named Glori, is a sequel to a previous story, Dragonscale Box (and its three supplements). While Dragonscale Box was written with a rather obsessive goal of fitting itself within the MSQ of Shadowbringers and Endwalker, this story has long since diverged.

Have you ever wanted to experience FFXIV as a novel without the MMO mechanics that break it up? With consistencies, tie-ins, and references that weren't accounted for early in the game's development? Well, that's a lot to live up to, so we'll see if I can do that...
This is a rewrite of FFXIV. It will include both familiar and unique scenes but is not meant to be 1:1 with the game. It's a character-focused interpretation of the story that's been heavily altered. Characters will be introduced at different times, events will happen in different ways, and so on.
This is practice for me more than anything, so please feel free to leave any feedback or thoughts you have along the way! The prologue and epilogue are written differently than the rest of the fic and each chapter has pictures, most of which are done in gpose.

COMPLETE! I've finished the first book and all chapters and appendices are up. The latter are meant to be read after and include short stories, romances (B, C, & D), etc. with other characters than the Warrior of Light. Book II is underway.

Characters might a little OoC because they've only had like 2 lines of dialogue so far (even though we defeated primals together and shit), because while the game is super pretty and the gameplay is fun, the character development is tedious af, so I'm taking matters in my own hands. Starts at: Escape from Castrum Centri (MSQ 46). Currently at: Post-Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patches 2.0 - 2.5., The Binding Coils of Bahamut (Questline & Raids).
