Something about being on the edge of their honeymoon wells up emotion in Richie's chest. They’ve never had this much time to spend together, not since they first left Derry. And most of that time had been spent with Eddie recovering. They didn’t get together until half a year later, and by that point Eddie was back to working full-time. Richie wants so badly to let the time drag out, take it slowly, enjoy each other and bicker their fucking heads off about all sorts of stupid shit.
Later, when Eddie’s stretching around the plug, full of Richie’s come, both of them tangled in the sheets and each other, all that’s going through Richie’s mind is how fucking lucky he is to get even one day alone with someone he loves so much.

"There’s stuff I wish I didn’t just have to remember. Stuff I wish I could have again, just for a little bit,” Eddie said. The breeze had stopped at some point, and the air felt heavy around them, quiet. Like maybe time had stopped to give them this conversation. Like they were fifteen again, alone in the clubhouse after everyone else had gone, and everything suddenly felt clunky and loud and significant. So they’d whisper and try not to look each other in the eyes, and Richie might suddenly feel brave and brush their legs together in the hammock or stare at Eddie a bit too long, because nothing seemed to escape their time alone. Richie attempted to cling to that bravery.
"Like what?"

Richie hisses. Just the low, breathy tone of Eddie’s voice is going to make him go off. Richie and his tiny crew slept on the bus the past two nights, so this is the first time he’s been able to jerk off since they left. He doesn’t even know why they get a bus - he’s gone for two fucking weeks.
“Well, gimme the least sexy option first then,” he says when Eddie returns. He’s standing now, head slightly out of frame, centered on his ridiculous set of abs.
“There’s no- there’s an order to these things, Rich.”
