After a suspicious extended absence of an Eggman plot, the evil doctor suddenly returns in force, seemingly luring Sonic into a trap in order to reveal his newest creation - something relating to four of the blue blur's previous opponents, along with a mysterious newcomer. Will the world's heroes prevail against this new force of evil? Or will it prove too much for Sonic & Friends to handle?
A rewrite of Sonic Forces meant to fill the same slot in the timeline as the game.

I knew moving back into my childhood home would be hard. But having literal monsters hunting me is not something I was expecting, but the most unexpected thing is seeing my childhood doll turn into a real person to save me, and the fact that he's HOT.
This story will have plot but will also be alot of silly filler of mostly fluff, with small amounts of smut, and angst in their.This is a story about childhood/mid adult Gadget. and cursed Infinite who is most of the time a tiny doll but can transform into a "normal" form for a short time. It's alot of funny daily life scenarios!

Summary
No one wins in war. The ‘good guys’, the ‘bad guys’, and even people who have nothing to do with this entire thing... all lose something. Their lives, figuratively or literally...casualties are a given in war...it's not war without the smell of death littered on the battlefield, consuming the once fresh air that populated Mobius.
He didn't want to be turned into a robot...he didn't want to die from the pollution from the factories that would hypothetically tower over his town...he also wanted to be like the world’s supposedly now dead hero...
TL:DR: my own take on that one cutscene in Forces where Gadget first encounters Infinite.

Everyone, as far as they could tell, was happy after the war ended-- Tails had more things to research than ever; Amy could finally have some time to fangirl over how cute Metal and Sonic were together, having gotten over her crush; Sonic and Mets could finally spend time together without worrying that they'd be interrupted or attacked.
But of course, there was always an odd one out. Gadget, after leaving the Resistance, wasn't at all happy. The whole reason he'd joined the Resistance was to get Infinite back to his old self, which he'd failed at miserably, and Gadge was going out to look for him to make things right.
After all, that's what a good boyfriend does, right?

This isn't really a story. Not yet. It's a summary of the first portion of a fic idea I have. My pure thoughts on things (some honestly overly aggressive, but removing that would take away from my thought process), some of which I wrote super late into the evening. So if some things come off as jumbled that's probably why.
I mention ships in the tags because they will be relevant later in the story, but for the segment I have written down they aren't included as all relationships happen later down the line.

After Eggman had created the events of the Flash Merge, it created a rift in time. Mephiles would use this as a means to escape his limbo in time-space.
Inevitably, Zero would encounter Mephiles. Alone. It wouldn't be long until they figured out that they had quite a few things in common.
(These things take place during the events of Selfless. Also, the tags sound sus, but the story itself is really not that bad. Everything is PG-13 I promise. Also, why am I doing this? Because I can, and I think it's funny.)
