Summary
Sapnap has fallen so deeply in love with George that it physically hurts to be around his older friend knowing that he doesn't feel the same way. He knows what Dream and George have is special, an unbreakable bond and yet seeing them interact causes jealousy to rise in his chest, wishing that he was the only one who can make George smile like that.
Sapnap spirals into a deep void after acknowledging that the years of crushing on George turn into love and he knows that George doesn't feel the same way, or so he thought.

Sapnap gives him a bit of a confused look but does as he’s told, closing the door before slowly approaching the older man. He looks down at him, still confused, while George looks up at him with a pretty smile and a glint in his eyes. It’s a look Sapnap knows all too well; George is hungry. And Sapnap is the meal that he wants to devour.
“Remember earlier when you decided to bounce around on my lap while I was live?” George asks, tilting his head to the side slightly.

- People liked it on stream, the excessive show of strength. The bite to his words, they tuned in specifically to watch him bare his fangs and tell someone what for over a video game. It was a safe dosage of alpha, fans got to faun over hindbrain behaviors with a screen to keep it at a distance.
- Despite how effortless it seemed, how raw Dream was, at the end of the day… it was just a character he played. Traits amplified and exploited for viewer retention.
- The problem was, Dream was the only one who knew he was playing a character. He wasn’t an alpha, or even a beta. His secret getting out wouldn’t just ruin his career, but his life. His closest friends were two alphas, two real alphas, ones who said things about omegas that turned his stomach. Ones who might not want to live with an omega who wasn’t owned and chained down to a parent or a spouse. But he was 10 years into the lie, and there wasn’t an easy way out of it anymore.

He didn't stand a chance. But that didn't stop him from being jealous and wishing he did have a chance, even going so as far as trying to convince himself he had romantic feelings for both of his best friends so he his chances increased.
George, on the other hand, was less confused. He knew about a lot more than his two housemates thought, but he was still blind to the most obvious of things. It took a game of chess for him to fall in love, who knew it would take another game of chess to set things in stone?

Sapnap thinks that idolizing Dream and viewing him as a big brother has left a permeant impact on him. Dreams hopeless romantic tendencies, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail are all traits Sapnap shares. Sapnap notices the way Dream interacting with George is similar to how he interacts with Karl.
He hates Dream for having a good mindset on love, for loving fully and without fear. That’s where their similarities end because Sapnap is in love and it terrifies him.
He can’t decide if Karl wants him as Sapnap or Nick, the two names being the same person but feeling like two separate personalities in his own head. Either way it doesn’t matter because Sapnap is convinced Karl would never catch feelings for him, let alone fall in love with him. Can a trip to North Carolina on Christmas change everything or will he return to Florida defeated?
