Summary
Steve should be happy with his life. From an outsider's perspective, he has it all - a lucrative job at his father's internal medicine practice (which he stands to inherit), generational wealth, and an endless line of dates with eligible young women. But nobody in his life knows that he's a queer man aching for community and deeper connection.
When he stumbles upon a performance by Eddie Munson and the Spiders from Mars, the delicate balance he's built in his life is thrown into disarray. Eddie, a flamboyant man who insists that he's from another planet, shows Steve what it would be like to let go of all of his preconceived notions of what a life should be. Summary
After a brief fling with a closeted jock, Eddie Munson is outed at school and left to endure the fallout. Then the notes start appearing in his locker. Short, anonymous, sometimes funny, sometimes kind.
Eddie doesn't know who's writing them. Only that they're the only good thing that's happening.

Home from college with a barely passing GPA, recently dumped, and drunkenly careening down a dark country road to the tune of his own misery, Steve was aware that he might be depressed. Therapy would've been the sane solution. But before he could turn around and make that choice, a glowing red hole cracked open in the middle of the road, and he was sent flying through time and space.

Second, provide a kickass D&D campaign for the nosy little freshman that joined Hellfire. And finally, write more music and go on tour with his band. Okay, three step plan. Absolutely nothing about his plan-in-progress included stumbling across the hottest man he'd ever seen stranded on the side of the road. Or the glowing red portal to hell parked next to him.

Eddie’s barely takes a step towards the hallway before Steve’s outline catches his attention. He’s leaning on the kitchen counter, his eyes closed, head tilted upwards, looking every bit as beaten as he did outside.
“Hey, you ok?” Eddie asks, though he already knows the answer. Knows Steve will try to play it off. He walks closer to him.
