He gasped, his eyes sparkled in wonder as he saw the sun hiding beneath the towering trees of the park. Kojiro steered the boat, hair shifting in the calm breeze, his eyes on Kaoru the entire time.
"The last morning we spent together," Kaoru said, standing between the edge of daylight and moonlight, and they were slowly drifting through the clear waters, "I said I wanted to watch the sunrise with you."
Except, Kojiro was the only one who saw it fully.
"The golden hour is the time between sunrise and sunset," Kojiro murmured, eyes fixated on the lake, "I wanted to take you with me to see it properly."

The blue haired boy turned his head surprised and Reki was struck by his light eyes, a mix of blue and green. His fair face had a dusting of pink and was somewhat covered by his fine hair, highlighted from the sun streaming through the doors behind him. The boy shifted awkwardly under Reki’s gaze as his mom and Tadashi talked in low voices. Or maybe they were drowned out, all Reki’s attention was on Langa like a spotlight.
“Yeah?” He asked timidly, his voice soft.
Reki smiled wider at this. “So then you are Langa? I’m Reki and these guys are Cherry and Joe. Well- their names are Kaoru and Nanjo but they said you can call them Cherry and Joe. Anyway, we’re the other counselors who’ll be working with you.” he gestured behind him to where the older guys had followed him to Langa, both of them offering a wave.

This was the first time Kaoru was seeing Kojiro fight up close like this. Kashiwagi's men were struggling to keep up, and they only managed to stun Kojiro before he regained his focus. He was calm, despite being outnumbered.
"That all you got?" Kojiro taunted them, using his thumb to brush off the blood on his lower lip. "Did your boss train a couple of pussies?" The sight made Kaoru shiver slightly, but he knew if Kojiro had wanted to go easy on these guys then he would show a little shred of mercy.
His lips were pressed into a straight line, and there was a glint in his crimson gaze, one that was lethal.
He meant business.
Nanjo Kojiro, a bouncer and bodyguard for a club that serves as a gateway to the criminal underworld forms a turbulent relationship with its top dancer, Sakurayashiki Kaoru, also known as Cherry Blossom. Everything begins to spiral after they spent a single fleeting night together, and it would soon be too late for either of them to pull themselves out of it.

"You're right. I should be a little more grateful when all I do is cause trouble for you."
"Who said it ain't fun knockin' out a couple teeth?"
Kaoru smiled at Kojiro's joke, small but genuine, and Kojiro smiled too.
Kaoru laced their fingers together, bold.
"I want you to come home with me." He said, all shades of desperate.
Kojiro keeps it simple. He's a chef by day and a tough bouncer by night. Kaoru, the club's best dancer, makes good cash but loves a bad riot. He's far from simple to Kojiro; until one night, they decide to give into each other's wants: releasing some tension.

Kojiro had almost two decades of friendship with Kaoru, of inside jokes and childhood memories, of being next door neighbors and school friends… Adam couldn’t just overcome that, even with his mysterious charm and his crooked smile.
That’s what Kojiro told himself, anyway.
He knew Kaoru: he knew all of the complexities and nuances of what made him him, how he loved skating but hated math, how on his birthday all he wanted was calligraphy supplies but his family insisted on getting him sports gear, how he grew out his hair just to piss off his dad who always said he was too feminine.
