Summary
Medieval AU of Borgen.
Queen Birgitte of Denmark wants to do what’s best for her people, but ruling a kingdom isn’t easy. Hard choices, political pressure, and a sense of isolation weigh heavily on her. When Lord Laugesen—her former enemy, recently pardoned from exile—returns to court with news of a coup against the crown, she reluctantly agrees to let him serve as her advisor, and what begins as a tense partnership slowly turns into something more.

“Well, you should be. Not a lot of people would have the guts to do it. But you did what was necessary. I respect that.”
