“Well, I’ll have you know I’m very good with my fingers,” Catra winks at her and flips through the next book quicker than Adora could follow. “And, you're one to talk, the only thing you were ever good at was catching basketballs with that giant forehead of yours.”
Adora grinds her teeth, to keep from sprouting some insult or another, but it seems Catra wasn't done.
“And now your just a failed author”
“I am not!” Adora's sentence starts out higher and louder than she meant it to. She glances around the room, lowers her voice and tries again. “I am not failed author I’m just taking a break”

The friends of Mara at Arxia Station gamble everything on untested and dangerous technology for a straw's chance in hell, i.e. they have to bring Adora with them into Despondos and hide her somewhere safe so the First One's wont just replace Mara with the next one, use her to pull Etheria back out of Despondos (which for the purposes of this fic they could) and start over.

Adora doesn’t look at me. She just smiles and stares out at the valley. “We’re going to do so much for the Horde. You’re going to be singing in the High Choir and writing hymnals, and I’ll be charged with a Seminary—oh! Or on a Sojourn… teaching our histories to all of Etheria and sharing Prime’s Light…”
She makes it sound almost whimsical. But it’s not.
I bite my lip. “If you’re on a Sojourn we’ll never get to see each other.”
She finally looks up at me and she frowns. I almost feel bad for taking her smile away. “I don’t have to submit for a Sojourn. It was just an idea.” She pulls her arm from my shoulders but lays her hand next to mine and grazes the back of it with her fingertips. “Who knows, maybe I’d be considered for Priesthood.”
I laugh, trying to shake my nerves. I don’t like the idea of Adora going away or being a priestess. If Adora becomes a priestess then—then we can’t—
I shake the thought. That’s stupid. Adora wouldn’t… she wouldn’t want that anyway.
OR The Horde is a church that Adora and Catra are in training to serve in and then it all goes to hell when She-Ra shows up.

That is, until she meets Catra. The hotshot pilot quickly worms her way into every facet of the Jedi's life, and Adora finds herself welcoming the distraction. Soon Adora and the young Zygerrian become near inseparable.

Every single one of these thoughts make Catra wonder, is she really the villain? Is she supposed to be the bad guy? Every time she doubts herself it makes it harder for her to be the bad guy. To pretend. Why is she even thinking these things? Catra doesn't know. But,she does know her actions are wrong. And...
There's something about Adora. Something that makes her heart ache. Something that makes her feel guilty and something... more.
