Adora said nothing – her mind replaying the image of the thin, frail girl lying in a heap on the floor, blood pouring out of her side.
Her eyes had opened as Adora walked in – heterochromatic like her file had said. Mesmerizing.
While Lonnie had immediately fallen to the floor pressing every soft item within reach against Catra’s wound, the dark-skinned girl did not take her eyes off Adora. Those beautiful yellow and blue eyes that saw into Adora’s very soul – challenging her:
"You thought you knew me? No – you never did."

Catra is a criminal and Adora’s a cop. They meet when Catra’s arrested and Adora’s assigned to guard her. Adora will soon learn that the motives behind Catra’s actions are much more complex than she mistakenly assumed, leading Adora to decide whether her definition of justice is what society says it should be, or what she knows to be true.

Catra thought she could be happy after the war. To start healing and find a place to rest and breathe easily. But after a mysterious new threat defeats the Princess Alliance, together wit She-Ra, Catra is forced into the past. Past that is however, different from what Catra knows and remembers. Will she be able to make sense of things and prevent another defeat in the far future and finally find peace?
An AU where Catra from after season 5 gets thrown into a different universe and has to start over again while figuring what has changed and what has not.

She-Ra and the princesses of power's season four wasn't satisfying and Catradora was rushed in a way.
Catra hated Adora. Adora hates Catra. That's how it's supposed to be. Right? Adora left Catra, so Catra shoved her away. She shouldn't forgive Adora for abandoning her for a sparkly princess, a archer and an alter ego. Right? She-Ra is Catra's enemy, the person she's supposed to take down. She can't just like Adora, she has to stay strong. She must take over the Horde and rule Etheria. Right?
Every single one of these thoughts make Catra wonder, is she really the villain? Is she supposed to be the bad guy? Every time she doubts herself it makes it harder for her to be the bad guy. To pretend. Why is she even thinking these things? Catra doesn't know. But,she does know her actions are wrong. And...
There's something about Adora. Something that makes her heart ache. Something that makes her feel guilty and something... more.

Captain Catra… the name meant a lot of different things to a lot of different people.
To First Mate Scorpia, Catra was her best friend who had escaped from the Fright Zone with her, giving her a new life and a much greater purpose than anything the horrid witch and ex-lord of the Horde had promised.
For Pilot Entrapta, Catra was a shield against a world that had never really understood her nor tolerated her. She was also the only person to ever successfully steal some of the most advanced technology in all Etheria, a Horde ship, and she was content to let Entrapta play with all of it.
For the princesses and their kingdoms, the feline was a dangerous bandit and a terrible nuisance.
However, for Adora, Princess of Brightmoon, the name of Captain Catra bore no importance at all...

Summary
Catra has been a foster kid in Sheila Weaver’s (a modernized version of Shadow Weaver) household for the past three years with Sheila’s adopted daughter Adora and her other foster kids Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogelio. It didn’t take long for her to realize that Sheila is not a good person and targets her, but Adora doesn’t seem to notice or understand. Catra has been in and out of foster homes for years, but it’s never been as bad as it has been with Sheila. When she is forced to make an impossible decision and be on her own for the first time, it completely changes whatever relationship she had with Adora before.
Adora was adopted as an infant into Sheila Weaver’s household. Sheila was a middle aged divorcee trying to find a new life and new purpose when she took her in and started fostering other kids. When she was seventeen, a girl named Catra was taken in and she immediately bonded with her. Adora couldn’t help but observe that tensions were always high between Sheila and Catra. After a big fight, Adora sees that Catra is gone and has to deal with the aftermath.
