"No, I’m just not... used to this." Hades admits, still surprised at the affection and compliments. Sure, they were all friendly before, but this new context was making him a bit nervous even though he really wanted it. Wanted the affection they were offering freely.

"Being...needed?" Arthur supplies.
"Being loved?" ‘Mill purrs.
"All... of the above." Hades closes his eyes, shivering softly, before opening them again.

He jolts, green eyes flaring as he opens them, the metal left hand groping for his weapon that isn't there. Instead, he forms his blade and backs up on the gurney. He recognizes Lettie but not the woman - the last thing he remembers is Arthur shoving him through a portal, gunshots, Entrati ...the reactor... and now - the paracesis disappears and he starts shaking. They're gone, all of them. He didn't get the chance to - IT took it all and he was the only thing left.

For all his posturing and sharp edges, Quincy at his core was a kind and warm soul as was such the case with many of the more reserved Hex; which why Wil or Wilhelmina threw him for a loop, She was exactly as she presented herself or at least as far as his usually incredible people skills had told him and he couldn’t stand them one bit. Or at least he tried to not like them.
Wilhelmina Entrati was exactly what you’d expect from a direct descendent of Albretch himself, pessimistic, smart, calculating, calm and hard to rattle; maybe a little too hard-headed as well at least on the surface. Underneath was an entirely different story filled with racing thoughts, quiet anger, resentment and loneliness. Something she might unknowingly share with her fellow speedy protoframe: Amir.
