There was ever one known instances of a predatory species achieving sentience in the galaxy.
The Arxur were the first to be discovered, and, as an anomaly, sparked the Federation’s curiosity. By previous hypotheses on intelligence, their existence was impossible. Conventional wisdom stated that cooperation led to higher thinking, which in turn, led to the formation of technological societies. A predator’s natural instinct for aggression should have limited their evolution.
That was the common belief, even during our war with them.
That was until a void rift opened above Venlil prime.

Then the signal was sent out and all the Warframes simultaneously fell asleep. It was all Lotus could do to finish the job and hide Lua and their bodies from those who would seek revenge on her children. Finding a lost child bleeding out she vows to herself, "Never again." She will protect this new child and train her.
