As Lu Guang was pouring the last of the batter, Cheng Xiaoshi came into view. He looked somewhat bedraggled, dressed in sweatpants with his hair hanging loose around his face instead of being up in its usual ridiculous little ponytail. He seemed to be moving fine, at least.
And his face brightened when he saw the pancakes, the resulting tired grin making Lu Guang’s heart flap weakly in his chest.
“Those look so good…you didn’t burn them at all!”
“Do you really have such little faith in me? I can cook basic things.”
