She couldn’t muster the courage to speak with him. Druig. Broody, compassionate, Druig. She didn’t approve entirely of what he did. But she knew deep down it came from a place of good intentions, of love in his heart, because he was fragile in the way his heart tore, faced with senseless violence and destruction, even if he kept it veiled in anger. Maybe he knew she was there. She stole art the people created and presented to him. She knew he kept them in his room, hidden and kept safe, because he cared that the people used their hands not for fights but for creation. Even if he had to give them a little push. She’d sneak into it, quick as a blink, and grab a piece which reflected a person’s soul. And noticeably in the center of the room. So maybe she wanted to be found, was that so bad? She liked making him second guess.
