Summary
He can hardly take his eyes off Makkari as she begins to catch up with everyone and tell them about her day. He misses most of what’s being said, studying the way her entire body moves while she converses and the way she looks at all of her friends with a breathtaking amount of care and warmth. He doesn’t manage to look away until Thena leans in close and mutters, “Druig, my dear, hearts are going to start popping out of your eyes if you don’t fix yourself. Quickly.”
Druig composes himself, and says two words he never anticipated saying to any members of this group, except for if and when they decided to leave him alone. “Thank you.” And then, since he’s already in too deep: “Thena, has anyone ever told you that you’re a godsend?”
Thena’s smile is crooked and lovely when she says, “Once or twice,” and Druig knows that there’s no going back, for better or for worse.
Or, Druig meets Kingo and Thena in some nonsense sociology course and consequently gets dragged into their friend group, where he experiences cut-throat D&D sessions, being insulted in new and creative ways, learning to be kind to himself, and falling head-over-ass in love with beautiful, beautiful Makkari

He watches as Ikaris slams her down through layers and layers of molten rock and he can't help but think of days ago spent lounging in bed, complaining of getting old and back pain. He'd laughed lowly and then cupped her lower back.
"Here?" he'd murmured against her back.
— No, she said. She'd turned so now his hand had changed, cupping her stomach. — You were there, so now the pain is gone.

He sensed himself to be weaker after the fight with Ikaris, his body still in shambles as he didn't tell anyone about his unattended wounds, but could his mind have been strained as well? This badly?

Summary
Some time after the failed Emergence there have been new signs of Deviant activity on earth and the Eternals, given another chance by Arishem, take up what they originally believed to be their natural mission again.
Until something goes wrong and a Deviant attack hits one of them harder than they originally assumed.
In an attempt to avoid the worst, the group has to face the past, Sprite gets confronted with the consequences of being truly human and Ikaris gets a chance to prove himself again. (no guarantee that will work our though)I really love this story and hope to continue it but in the middle (literally) of writing the next chapter my computer decided to crash and shred all my notes and pre written scenes. That is, to put it simple, very much demotivating and it destroyed a lot of stuff I had planned out. I don't know how long it will take me to rewrite this. I don't know if I want right now. Maybe after watching the movie again, idk. Just as a small information in case anyone is wondering/waiting.

Before the time travel, and the snap that undid the snap was grief-- unbearable amounts of grief that he shouldered and dealt with even though it took a lot more effort to breathe. Druig was always in tune with the emotions of mortals, so when Thanos snapped his damn fingers and half the population of the universe dissolved away-- Druig felt it, felt the terror, confusion, the sadness, and grief.
And when the Avengers show up at his front door practically oozing grief, he feels he’s obligated to help them-- if it’s for selfish or selfless reasons, well that’s up for personal interpretation.
