Summary
What had started out as a seemingly routine reactor maintenance check in Nibelheim turns tragic and leaves the only home Second Class SOLDIER Cloud Strife's ever known in shambles. With his best friend dead and himself gravely wounded he falls into Hojo's manic clutches.
After a month and a half of torture Cloud breaks free and tears a bloody path through everyone that stands in his way. Only just managing to happen upon a still badly wounded Tifa Lockhart tucked away in a forgotten corner.
It's a fight for both their lives after the escape. On the run from Shinra and with Tifa in desperate need of *actual* medical care it's going to take all of Cloud's limited street knowledge, military skills, and maybe a few new friends for them to survive Beneath the Plate.
